Massage Therapy
Massage therapy relieves stress, encourages relaxation, helps manage pain, improves flexibility and range of motion, relaxes muscles, and lowers blood pressure. And our Certified Massage Therapist, Michelle Coronel, is highly experienced and one of the best!
Therapeutic massage is the manipulation of the muscles and soft tissues of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, and stress. Integrated into the delivery of overall wellness, it is essential to support other therapies, such as chiropractic, with massage. With over 80 different types of massage, our massage therapist focuses on you and your needs. From trigger point to deep tissue massage, you will be in great hands!
There are at least 80 different types of massage. Some are gentle, and some are very active and intense. For example, deep tissue massage is more intense and may be used to treat long-lasting muscle tension. Applying slow strokes (with the fingers, thumbs, and elbows) using intense pressure allows the therapist to reach deeper muscle layers.
Why Use Massage?
Massage may be helpful promoting relaxation and relieving pain. It's also useful for relieving muscle tension, improving circulation, relieving pressure on nerves, and helping to restore normal joint and/or musculo-skeletal movement.
We pride ourselves in delivering personalized attention, particularly for those with injuries, ailments, pregnancies and chronic conditions. Therapeutic massage can be particularly important in sports performance and recovery from injuries.
Is Massage Safe?
When done properly, massage is considered safe. Colorado licensing requirements help to ensure that your massage therapist has a certain level of training and uses certain practice guidelines. Our therapists are all licensed providers who regularly pursue on-going training and skills enhancement. It is ideal for anyone suffering from chronic pain or limited mobility due to athletic training, repetitive movements, surgeries or overuse.
